BASEBALL WIN STREAK EXTENDS TO 7 GAMES, TAKING TWO GAMES FROM SAUK VALLEY
Frontier extends their winning streak to seven games, after two wins against Sauk Valley College. On the day they managed to collect 31 runs, 19 hits, striking out 15 in two games. Game one saw the Bobcats win 21-3. Dom Davies threw one inning punching out 3 batters. Nick Mosley 1-2, with 2 walks and a RBI, Emmanuel Alecia 1-3, with a Grand Slam Home run, Mael Zan 2-3, 3 RBI’s and a triple, Carlos Martinez 2-2, 3 RBI’s and a triple.
Game two was dominated by the pitching staff throwing a shut out win 10-0. Riley Mertl 4 IP, 5 strikeouts, and no hits on the day. Ian Martinez 2 inning pitched with 3 strikeouts. Offense was lead by Shane Taylor 2-4 with a double and 2 RBI’s, Alex Thornberry 1-2 double and two RBI’s, Angel Figueroa 2-4 with an RBI.

Frontier Bobcats Slides Into A Blow-Out Win Over Sauk Valley.
Frontier had no trouble on offense today, winning big over Sauk Valley 21-3. In the first inning, Sauk Valley got their offense started when Barnett drew a walk, scoring one run. Frontier notched eight runs in the fourth inning. Shane Taylor (Morehead, KY.), Jake Cace (Tarpoon Springs, FL.), Ronnel Castro (Kelowna, CAN.), Juan Escarpita (Mexico City, MEX.), Robert Rodriguez (Ceiba, P.R.), and Nick Mosley (Lufkin, TX.) each had RBIs in the big inning.
Cody Godbold (Syndey, AUS.) earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Frontier. The righthander allowed one hit and zero runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Dom Davies (Kansas City, MO.) threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Miller took the loss for Sauk Valley. The pitcher went two innings, allowing six runs on three hits and striking out two. Nathan Schlaiss (Crystal Lake, IL.) started the game for Frontier. The ace went one and one-third innings, allowing two runs on zero hits and striking out one
Frontier smacked one home run on the day. Emanuel Alecia (Humaco, P.R.) put one out in the first inning.
Frontier saw the ball well today, racking up eight hits in the game. Carlos Martinez (Trujilo, P.R.) and Mael Zan (Bayonne, FRA.) each managed multiple hits for Frontier. Mael Zan and Carlos Martinez all had two hits to lead Frontier. The Bobcats was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Carlos Martinez had the most chances in the field with five. Sauk Valley didn't commit a single error in the field. Akerman had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.
Two Frontier Pitchers Rally Together In Shutout Victory Against Sauk Valley.
Frontier defeated Sauk Valley 10-0 on Tuesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Ian Martinez (Trujilo, P.R.)induced a fly out from Olson to finish off the game. Frontier secured the victory thanks to six runs in the first inning. The offensive firepower by Frontier was led by Juan Escarpita, Shane Taylor, Jake Cace, and Robert Rodriguez, all driving in runs in the inning.
Frontier fired up the offense in the first inning. Frontier scored one run when Juan Escarpita singled. A single by Peterson in the sixth inning was a positive for Sauk Valley. Riley Mertl (Westfield, IN.) was the winning pitcher for Frontier. The bulldog surrendered zero runs on zero hits over four innings, striking out five. Ian Martinez threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Wasson took the loss for Sauk Valley. The bulldog lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing five hits and six runs while striking out one.
Frontier tallied 11 hits. Angel Figueroa (Dorado, P.R.) and Shane Taylor each had multiple hits for Frontier. Shane Taylor and Angel Figueroa each managed two hits to lead Frontier. Frontier was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Jose Montanez (Arroyo, P.R.) made the most plays with eight.
