Loesch Leads Bobcats with Seven RBIs in Win

Chase Loesch powered the Bobcats offensively, driving in seven runs on three hits. Loesch delivered a grand slam to center field in the eighth inning, added a two-run double in the seventh, and an RBI double in the sixth to lead the surge.
Greenville struck first in the opening inning, scoring on a wild pitch to take an early 1-0 lead.
Troy Mann answered for Frontier in the fifth inning with a solo home run to left field, tying the game at 1-1.
Frontier took control in the sixth inning. Chase Loesch doubled down the left field line to drive in a run, Kasey Lowe followed with an RBI single, and Mason Newland added another run with a sacrifice play to give the Bobcats a 4-1 lead.
The Bobcats broke the game open in the eighth inning, plating four runs highlighted by Loesch's grand slam to center field.
Trent Lowery earned the win for Frontier, tossing two innings of hitless and scoreless relief while striking out one and walking one. Jackson Ethridge started on the mound, allowing one run on one hit over two innings with four strikeouts. Greenville's reliever took the loss, giving up four runs on two hits in one and two-thirds innings.
Frontier's bullpen was strong throughout, with Miles Whitesell, Ethan Robbins, Jack Condon, Devon Ouwehand, Kaelin Farr, and Gavyn Harrell combining in relief to shut down Greenville's offense.
The Bobcats totaled 14 hits in the game. Grady Combs, Chase Loesch, and Kasey Lowe each recorded three hits, while Garrett Schmidt added two hits. Frontier also showed discipline at the plate, drawing seven walks, with Combs and Schmidt leading the way with two each.
Frontier was aggressive on the bases, swiping five stolen bases, and played clean defense with no errors. Kasey Lowe led the team defensively with 11 chances.
For Greenville, Isaias Tolentino, Konner Young, Carson Gates, Joshua Calendo, and Parker Milligan each recorded a hit. Young, Jackson, and Milligan each drove in a run. Greenville also showed patience at the plate with eight walks and turned two double plays.
With the win, the Bobcats improve to 30-16 overall. Frontier returns home to face Lincoln Trail today at FNB Field, with first pitch set for 3 p.m.
