FAIRFIELD, Ill. – Frontier Community College sophomore Asa Dunlevey and freshman Harper Holeman have been named this week's Bobcats Players of the Week after strong performances during the final week of the regular season.
Dunlevey helped power Frontier Baseball to a series win over Vincennes University as the Bobcats took two out of three games from the Trailblazers to close the regular season.
His biggest performance came in FCC's 10-2 victory over Vincennes on Thursday, April 30, at FNB Field. Dunlevey put together a standout day at the plate, blasting two home runs and driving in four runs. He opened his power display with a two-run home run to left field in the second inning, then added another two-run shot to center field in the sixth to help put the game out of reach.
Dunlevey also contributed in the series finale on Friday, May 1, collecting multiple hits as Frontier battled Vincennes in a narrow 6-5 walk-off loss.
His production helped the Bobcats continue their late-season momentum, with Frontier winning eight of its final 10 games during the closing stretch of the regular season.
Holeman earned the weekly honor following a consistent stretch at the plate for Frontier Softball. She was one of the Bobcats' top offensive contributors during the final week, recording multiple hits in three of Frontier's final four games.
Against Lake Land College, Holeman helped lead the FCC offense in game two with two hits. She carried that momentum into Frontier's final doubleheader of the regular season against Shawnee Community College.
In game one against the Saints, Holeman collected two hits as the Bobcats held off SCC for a 6-5 victory. She followed that performance with another standout effort in game two, finishing 3-for-4 with a double, two singles, and two RBIs to help Frontier complete the sweep with a 9-8 win.
Over the four-game stretch, Holeman totaled at least seven hits, providing a steady presence in the Bobcats' lineup during the final week of the regular season.
Her consistency at the plate played an important role in Frontier closing its regular season on a high note with back-to-back one-run victories over Shawnee.
Congratulations to Asa Dunlevey and Harper Holeman on being named this week's Bobcats Players of the Week.
