Bobcats Baseball Opens Region 24 Tournament Play Today
Coach Matt McCue and the Frontier Community College Bobcats Baseball team will open postseason play today at John A. Logan College in Carterville, Illinois, as part of Pod A of the Region 24 Tournament.
FAIRFIELD, Ill. – Coach Matt McCue and the Frontier Community College Bobcats Baseball team will open postseason play today at John A. Logan College in Carterville, Illinois, as part of Pod A of the Region 24 Tournament.
The Pod A tournament will follow a double-elimination format and feature Frontier, Wabash Valley College, Kaskaskia College, and John A. Logan College.
Tournament action begins today at noon with John A. Logan taking on Kaskaskia College in Game 1. Frontier will open its postseason run at 3 p.m. in Game 2 against Wabash Valley.
Play will continue Thursday, May 7, with the loser of Game 1 facing the loser of Game 2 at 9:30 a.m. The winners of the first two games will meet at 12:30 p.m., followed by Game 5 at 3:30 p.m. between the winner of Game 3 and the loser of Game 4.
The final day of Pod A play is scheduled for Friday, May 8. The winner of Game 4 will face the winner of Game 5 at noon. If necessary, Game 7 will also be played Friday between the same two teams to determine the Pod A champion.
The winner of Pod A will advance in the Region 24 Tournament.
