Bobcats and Blue Knights Split Sunday Doubleheader
The Frontier Community College Bobcats softball team hosted OCC Blue Knights in a doubleheader on Sunday, March 29 at Southwest Park in Fairfield.

Game 1 – Frontier 10, OCC 2
FCC used a strong offensive performance to power past OCC, 10-2, in the opener.
Alicia Stanley led the way for the Bobcats, driving in four runs on three hits. She homered to left in the fifth inning and added RBI singles in both the first and sixth innings.
Frontier struck first in the opening inning when Stanley delivered an RBI single. OCC answered in the second, as Kaitlyn Swift doubled to tie the game at 1-1.
The Bobcats quickly regained control in the bottom of the second when Kyndall Webb launched a two-run home run to left, putting FCC ahead for good. Harper Holeman followed with a solo home run in the third to extend the lead.
Frontier added three more runs in the fifth inning behind home runs from Stanley and Rylee Hendricks to put the game out of reach.
Lexi Miller earned the win for FCC, allowing just four hits and two runs (one earned) over six innings while striking out six.
The Bobcats totaled 13 hits in the game. Holeman and Stanley each collected three hits, while Hessi Johnson added two hits in two at-bats. Peyton Smith swiped two bases as Frontier finished with four stolen bases.
For OCC, Kyra Swift led the way with two hits, while Shelby Seay and Kaitlyn Swift each drove in a run.
Game 2 – OCC 11, Frontier 8
In the nightcap, OCC jumped out early and held off a late rally from FCC to earn an 11-8 victory.
The Blue Knights set the tone in the first inning, scoring multiple runs behind key hits from Emily Czerwonka and Shelby Seay, along with capitalizing on a pair of errors.
Despite the early deficit, the Bobcats continued to battle and produced 13 hits in the game. Rylee Hendricks, Riley Baumgart, Peyton Smith, Alicia Stanley, and Rayonna Ridley each recorded two hits.
Frontier made things interesting in the seventh inning, erupting for six runs. Stanley singled in two runs, Baumgart doubled home two more, and Ridley capped the rally with a two-run triple.
Emmy Vinson provided solid relief for FCC, pitching six innings and allowing four runs (three earned) while striking out six.
Chloe Papineau took the loss for the Bobcats, as OCC capitalized on early opportunities to build its lead.
Baumgart and Ridley each drove in three runs for Frontier.
For OCC, Emily Czerwonka led the offense with three RBIs, while Shelby Seay had a standout performance, going 5-for-5 at the plate. Kennedi Odum added two hits, and Bailee Frichtl drew three walks as the Blue Knights showed patience at the plate.
