The Frontier Community College Bobcats have officially released their Fall 2025 volleyball schedule, marking the beginning of an exciting new era for the program. The Bobcats open their season on the road against Vincennes on Saturday, August 23. Their first home match will take place Wednesday, August 27, when they host Wabash Valley College at Center Street Gym in Fairfield.
This season kicks off under the leadership of Head Coach Chet Snyder, who was hired in December 2024 to lead the volleyball program and serve as the college's Student Life Coordinator. Snyder brings a legendary coaching background to FCC, best known for his 22-year run at Fairfield Community High School where he became the winningest coach in school history across all sports. He compiled an impressive 543-210 record, earning 13 conference titles, six regional championships, and back-to-back sectional crowns—all while never posting a losing season. His teams recorded 20 or more wins in 18 seasons, including five campaigns with 30 or more victories.
Joining Snyder on the sidelines is Assistant Coach Kera Vinson. With experience coaching at the junior high, high school, and club levels, Vinson has proven to be a dynamic presence in southern Illinois volleyball. She currently serves as the head coach at Cisne Middle School and previously led Cisne High School's program. Vinson also brings extensive club volleyball knowledge, having coached with both Integrity Volleyball—where she served as Club Director—and Blue Blaze Volleyball alongside Coach Snyder. She recently guided Cisne Middle School to a second-place finish in the SIJHSAA Class S state tournament.
