Strong Weekend for Bobcats at Falcon Classic
The Frontier Community College Bobcats Volleyball team turned in an impressive performance at the East Central College Falcon Classic in Union, Missouri, finishing the weekend with a 3-1 record.
The Frontier Community College Bobcats Volleyball team turned in an impressive performance at the East Central College Falcon Classic in Union, Missouri, finishing the weekend with a 3-1 record.
On Friday, September 5, the Bobcats opened strong, sweeping both of their matches. FCC defeated East Central College in four sets (17-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-23) before rolling past John Wood Community College in straight sets (25-17, 25-17, 25-22).
The momentum carried into Saturday, September 6, where Frontier split its two matches on the final day of the tournament. The Bobcats dropped a four-set battle against Metropolitan (23-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-15) but bounced back to sweep Lewis & Clark (25-23, 25-13, 25-20).
With their strong showing at the Falcon Classic, the Bobcats improved to 8-4 overall on the season. Next up, FCC will travel to Centralia on Wednesday, September 10, to face the Kaskaskia College Blue Angels, who enter the matchup at 8-1 overall, 2-1 in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference. First serve is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
