Frontier Falls Short Against SWIC at Home

The Frontier Community College Bobcats Volleyball team hosted the Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC) Blue Storm on Wednesday night at Center Street School in Fairfield. It was the first meeting of the season between the two programs. SWIC claimed the win in four sets, 25-20, 25-20, 20-25, 25-18. 

With the victory, SWIC improved to 9-6 overall and 4-2 in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference (GRAC). Frontier dropped to 8-9 overall and 3-3 in league play. The Bobcats and Blue Storm will square off again on Wednesday, October 22, in Belleville.  

Frontier returns to action on Friday, September 19, when they travel to Carterville to take on John A. Logan College. The Volunteers hold a 10-5 overall record but are coming off a straight-set loss to Vincennes University (25-27, 22-25, 20-25) on Wednesday. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m.
