FAIRFIELD, Ill. — Frontier Community College Athletics has announced Gael Salinas and Rylee Hendricks as the Bobcat Athletes of the Week following standout performances on the diamond.
Salinas earns the honor after delivering a dominant showing at the plate during the Bobcats' recent series against State Fair Community College. He highlighted the weekend in FCC's 27–8 victory, blasting two home runs and driving in five runs to power the Bobcats' offensive surge. His ability to produce early and consistently provided key momentum and reinforced his impact in the middle of the lineup. Salinas' timely power and steady production played a major role in the Bobcats' success.
Hendricks was the most consistently productive Bobcat offensively during the team's four-game stretch at Northeast Mississippi Community College. She recorded multiple hits in key moments, including a perfect 3-for-3 performance with two RBIs against Mineral Area. Hendricks also delivered timely offense in the opener, highlighted by a two-run double during Frontier's five-run rally that briefly gave the Bobcats the lead. Her ability to reach base and produce in run-scoring situations made her the steadiest offensive presence of the weekend.
