Stanley turned in a strong performance at the plate during Frontier's home-opening doubleheader at Southwest Park against St. Charles Community College. She went 3-for-4 in Game 1, accounting for three of FCC's 12 hits. Her day included singles in the first and second innings and a sixth-inning double, providing steady offensive production for the Bobcats. Stanley's effort highlighted her importance to Frontier's lineup early in the season.
McConachie has been named a Bobcat of the Week following his outstanding performance in FCC's home-opening sweep of the McKendree University JV Bearcats at FNB Field. McConachie powered the Bobcats offensively with four RBIs in Game 1, highlighted by a clutch two-run single and a two-run double. He also made his presence felt on the basepaths with multiple stolen bases and anchored the defense with a team-high 14 chances.
Joining him as a Bobcat of the Week is teammate Braxton Mathews, who delivered a dominant performance on the mound in Game 1. Mathews struck out 11 batters over five innings while allowing just one run on five hits and issuing no walks, setting the tone for the Bobcats' home-opening victory. Their combined efforts helped FCC improve to 13-4 on the season.
Congratulations Alicia, Sean, and Braxton! Go Bobcats!
