Salinas, Holeman Earn Weekly Honors for Frontier

FAIRFIELD, Ill. – Frontier Community College has named Gael Salinas and Harper Holeman as this week's Bobcat Athletes of the Week following standout performances for the Bobcats baseball and softball teams.

Salinas earned the honor after playing a key role in Frontier Community College's doubleheader sweep over Shawnee Community College on Saturday. He provided consistent production at the plate and delivered in key moments throughout the day.

In Game 1, Salinas was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double and two singles. His two-run double in the third inning helped extend the Bobcats' lead as FCC went on to secure a 12-2 victory.

He continued his strong performance in Game 2, driving in two runs during Frontier's eight-run third inning that broke the game open. Salinas also showed patience at the plate, drawing multiple walks across the doubleheader.

Overall, Salinas was a steady presence in the lineup, combining timely hitting with disciplined at-bats to help power the Bobcats' offense in the sweep.

Holeman earned recognition following her standout performance at the plate during the Bobcats' doubleheader against Spoon River College.

The Frontier outfielder provided a bright spot for FCC offensively, delivering a strong showing in Game 2. Holeman went 2-for-3 at the plate and launched a solo home run to left field, accounting for one of Frontier's two runs in the contest.

In addition to her impact at the plate, Holeman contributed defensively as the Bobcats turned a double play during the game.

On Saturday, Holeman led Frontier Community College in hits and was one of the team's most consistent offensive performers, showcasing her ability to make solid contact and deliver extra-base power.
