Bobcats Sweep Saints in Saturday Doubleheader
The Frontier Community College Bobcats delivered a dominant performance in Game 1, rolling past Shawnee Community College 12-2 on Saturday at FNB Field.

The Frontier Community College Bobcats delivered a dominant performance in Game 1, rolling past Shawnee Community College 12-2 on Saturday at FNB Field.
Gael Salinas led the offensive charge for FCC, going a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with a double and two singles. He sparked the Bobcats early and often, continuing his strong stretch at the plate.
Frontier wasted no time setting the tone, plating five runs in the bottom of the first inning. Mayes Gosser singled home a run, Sean McConachie drew a bases-loaded walk, Garrett Schmidt added a two-run single, and Jordan Carter followed with an RBI single to give FCC a commanding early lead.
The Bobcats continued to build momentum, adding a run in the second on Gosser's RBI single before extending the lead in the third when Salinas laced a two-run double to left.
On the mound, Jonny Lee earned the win for Frontier Community College, allowing just two hits and two runs over four innings while striking out four. Ian-Olivier Beaulieu set the tone early with two scoreless innings, and Caleb Boff closed things out with a clean relief appearance.
Offensively, FCC piled up 15 hits. Schmidt drove in three runs from the eight spot, while Gosser and Salinas each recorded three hits. Josh French, Justin Early, and Kasey Lowe also turned in multi-hit performances. The Bobcats showed patience at the plate with seven walks, led by Cam Napier and Salinas with two each.
Defensively, Frontier was flawless, committing no errors, with McConachie leading the way with 10 chances in the field.
For Shawnee Community College, Hayden Ralls and Maddox Cope each drove in a run, while Trevor Sanders, Cameron Brewer, and Cope recorded hits for the Saints.
Game 2 – FCC 12, SCC 5
Frontier Community College completed the doubleheader sweep with another strong showing at home, defeating Shawnee Community College 12-5 behind a decisive eight-run third inning.
After SCC took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning, the Bobcats quickly responded. Justin Early tied the game with an RBI single, and Frontier took control in the second as Asa Dunlevey and Kasey Lowe delivered run-scoring hits to make it 3-1.
The game broke open in the third inning when FCC erupted for eight runs. The inning featured contributions across the lineup, including an RBI double by Josh French, a two-run single from Gael Salinas, a two-run double by Cam Napier, and additional runs driven in by Dunlevey and Carter.
Bailey Collins picked up the win for the Bobcats, allowing three runs (two earned) over 3.1 innings. Nate Stivers provided a strong relief effort with two scoreless innings to help secure the victory.
Frontier finished with 10 hits in Game 2, with Justin Early and Mayes Gosser each collecting two hits. Napier, Early, Salinas, and Dunlevey each drove in two runs. The Bobcats once again showed discipline at the plate, drawing 10 walks, with French, Napier, and Gosser leading the way.
For Shawnee, Joshua Giron led the Saints with a 2-for-4 performance at the plate. Hayden Ralls, Cameron Brewer, Conner Warren, and Maguire Clark each drove in a run, while Trevor Sanders drew three walks as SCC totaled seven free passes.
With the sweep, the Bobcats improve to 18-7 overall on the season.
Frontier Community College returns to action on Wednesday, March 18, hosting #17 Wabash Valley College at FNB Field. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. FCC will remain at home on Thursday, March 19, to face Southeastern Illinois College before traveling to Harrisburg on Saturday, March 21, for a doubleheader against the Falcons beginning at noon.
